Today marks the 4th anniversary of J Dilla's passing. I still can't believe he's gone, but even in his absence, he is still influencing and making marks in music. Here's a fitting video for the day; a live performance of Dwele's "Angel" backed by the Suite For Ma Dukes Orchestra, so you already know this video is worth watching. Only thing that could've made this better is if Baatin & T3 were there too!

DILLA FOREVER! This is the first ever Jay Dee produced song I ever heard, and I think I was somewhere between 8-10 years old. I used to listen to this song all the time and I never even knew it was Jay Dee behind the beat. It was crazy because I had a list of my favorite hip hop songs, and I never realized that they were all produced by J Dilla. This song is one of them. The lyrics are wonderful as well, gotta honor Q-Tip, Consequence and Phife while they're still here, but man...this beat is just fresh. TURN IT UP!
