This is on Raphael Saadiq's album "The Way I See It" (which is an incredible album btw). Excellent video for an excellent song!

Just as a reminder, the Dedicated Servers will be performing at the Neurolux on Saturday, February 14th for the Valentine's Day Party. Joining them will be Eleven (myspace.com/akaeleven) and DJ Pat Benolkin. Guaranteed awesomeness with a line-up such as that. The show costs three dollars and will begin at 8:00 PM. Unfortunately for you kids, the event is 21 and up.

Hope to see you there!

Twinkle

Warp Zone is coming! MCMD and I have a few songs recorded and a few more to go, and here's one of them that will be on the project. "Twinkle" is dedicated to everybody that has some kind of goal that they're trying to reach in their life. We're all in the same boat so this is motivation for you.

Make note of the "underground" beat utilized in the song. It ties in well with the subject matter doesn't it? Share this song with your friends! "Twinkle" is available for free download at our Myspace music page (http://myspace.com/dedicatedservers) or you can just wait for Warp Zone to be released in a few weeks.

Here's the song. As the post gets older, you can keep listening to it because it'll be located at the northeast corner of this website. Enjoy!

Twinkle (Underground Mix) - Dedicated Servers

N.A.S.A. feat. Fatlip, Tre & KRS-One

Hip Hop.

Good stuff.

Fleet Foxes

I bought the self-titled Fleet Foxes album and it is AMAZING. My favorite song on the album is called "Blue Ridge Mountains". It's such a good song that I had to post it here for everyone to listen to.

Don't skip through the song though. It's not a song that you can just turn on and dig. You have to listen from beginning to end because the progressions are what makes the song so incredible.

What makes me feel better

It feels good when I visit an awful Myspace music page and then visit the Dedicated Servers music page.

Cut Throat

That's what mine feels like! I saw so many familiar faces downtown last night...lots of screaming and yelling while catching up with them, as well as other useless screaming. Recording the Warp Zone is going to be rough today...

Not to mention I have a blister on my big toe because I was jumping so much, and my back still hurts from deadlifting a couple days ago.

Last night was cool though. I danced like I never danced before! Props to Gusto; they play good music. I was thoroughly excited when I heard "2 of America's Most Wanted" come on by 2Pac & Snoop Dogg. That's a good song.

Plus, Cody, J-Rad & MCMD joined the fun! Good times.

The Dedicated Servers x Neurolux

The Dedicated Servers will take the stage at the Neurolux on Valentine's Day (February 14th)! I wanted to let my blog readers know first before anybody else. There will be a three dollar cover charge but I guarantee a good time. We'll be opening for local rapper Eleven, approxiamately at 8:30 PM. Since it will be on a Saturday, we'll probably stick around until 1:00 AM to dance it up (hopefully Pat Benolkin's spinning)!

Anyways, I'm excited to meet this Eleven dude. It's always great to meet local musicians. More exciting, though, is the fact that we'll have an oppurtunity to reel some more fans into the DS sound!

We'd love to see you there! Don't forget:

Eleven (with guests Dedicated Servers)
Saturday, February 14 @ 8:30 PM
$3 Cover
FREE dancing @ 1:00 AM

Oops, I should mention that this is 21 & up. Sorry (to those not so lucky)!

The Car Plane!

I've been dreaming of these ever since I was a child! Looks like it may come true. Check out some specs of the vehicle in the video. I can see many hazards already (getting in a car wreck would cost you so much, simply because you'd have flying disfunctions too!) It definitely looks amazing though, especially the cockpit. It's only $194,000.00 for this awesomeness! I'll have one...one day...

NNOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

JANELLE MONAE HAS BEEN SIGNED TO STAR TRAK!!!!! Damn it she's one of my absolute favorite artists and now I'm never gonna hear her music again!

:(

Super Sore

My arms are absolutely drained from a biceps/back workout I did on Wednesday! I can't believe I'm still not completely healed yet! To make matters worse, I'm even sorer (if that's even a word) today because yesterday, I did a workout that looked like this: 35x Squat, 25x Push-up & 15x Pull-up for seven rounds. I'm feeling brolic as ever, but also like a wet noodle. It hurts to do anything!

Hmm...I have a few things on my mind so I'm just gonna post them in a single blog.

My homepage was suddenly set to a Gym Jones workout schedule. Cody, Owen; I'm looking your way.

I'm utilizing a small planner that Dani's mom gave to me. It's actually working out quite nicely, I kinda enjoy writing in it. The palm pilot's cool and I would definitely use it if the screen alignment would work properly.

Speaking of Dani, thank you so much for the lamp. It's amazing! (Picture coming soon)

The recording of the Warp Zone will resume tomorrow. Stay tuned for that everybody!

Fail

So for some reason, I can post blogs, but I can't view my page at all! I apologize to anyone that leaves me comments that get no response, but hopefully I can figure this all out soon so we can get things back to normal!

Hate

Hate is a strong word...

...but I HATE the "help" provided by BSU and Financial Aid/Direct Loans because it's pretty much non-existent. Most advisors at BSU aren't very helpful and contacting the people at Direct Loans is impossible. They don't e-mail you back, they are highly unclear, and when you call them, you can only talk to their automated voice message. There are many things, many foul things I want to type right now but I'm just going to hold it in...

"It's arson, not our son, but even our sun is not far son; I'm right here."

Pay attention BSU. I foreshadow in my songs...

Lightheart

This is a nice song by one of the best, Turbo. You can get it off of disc three of Electro Rock Vol. 3 (available at Turbo's Myspace page for FREE)...ha ha hee hee (sorry, I had to keep that rhyme pattern going). Anyway, big ups to Turbo for keeping good music alive and doing his thing, he's a huge inspiration to the music I do. Scramble up!

Well, since I'm such a nice guy, I went ahead and provided the download link for disc three of Electro Rock Vol. 3. Just click this picture to download it for free! You'll have to visit Turbo's page for volumes one and two though (http://myspace.com/scrambleupwards) and don't forget to download his newest project, Electro Rock Vol. 4: Flash Focus Forms Force! Support good music!

I was feeling angry so I went to Burger King to have an Angry Whopper. It's pretty yummy. It's a whopper, plus jalapenos and onion rings. Yum yum.

Mystery Roar from Faraway Space Detected

LONG BEACH, Calif. — Space is typically thought of as a very quiet place. But one team of astronomers has found a strange cosmic noise that booms six times louder than expected.

The roar is from the distant cosmos. Nobody knows what causes it.

Of course, sound waves can’t travel in a vacuum (which is what most of space is), or at least they can’t very efficiently. But radio waves can.

Radio waves are not sound waves, but they are still electromagnetic waves, situated on the low-frequency end of the light spectrum.

Many objects in the universe, including stars and quasars, emit radio waves. Even our home galaxy, the Milky Way, emits a static hiss (first detected in 1931 by physicist Karl Jansky). Other galaxies also send out a background radio hiss.

But the newly detected signal, described here today at the 213th meeting of the American Astronomical Society, is far louder than astronomers expected.

There is “something new and interesting going on in the universe,” said Alan Kogut of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md.

A team led by Kogut detected the signal with a balloon-borne instrument named ARCADE (Absolute Radiometer for Cosmology, Astrophysics, and Diffuse Emission).

James Bond!

Check out the new LG phone model. It comes in the form of a watch! The new model includes MP3 functionality and video conferencing (very cool) but allows only two hour talk time. Still pretty cool though.
