Gameworks Seattle

As some of you may know, I am in Seattle right now visiting my girlfriend. Yesterday, I made my way to Gameworks to see what games they had.

Needless to say, they thoroughly satisfied me because the selection of games compared to what we have in Boise at Gameworld is ridiculous. I got to play Tekken 6 (finally!), King of Fighters XII, and Tatsunoku vs Capcom!

Tekken 6 is amazing (SPOILERS COMING). There are quite a bit of characters and a nice amount of new ones as well as returning ones. I was saddened at how they weakened Bruce and Lee (Bruce Lee? lol). Lee is still my favorite character though and I managed to beat the game on my first try with him. I even placed 7th place with a time of about five minutes! Some new characters I used were Leo, Miguel, and Lars. Lars sucks, but he looks pretty cool, almost like Jin. Miguel is alright, I just love watching him fight because he just looks like a drunk bum lol. Leo is okay too, I think he would be really good if you just spent some time learning how to play as him. He's kinda dorky though, he must be like 15 years old or something. In Tekken 6, they give you a bonus round where you fight this HUGE robot named Nancy. It's kinda hard to beat because it takes more to damage him and his attacks cause a little more damage than normal. I got so close to beating him twice! You only get one round against him, and nothing happens if you lose, you just don't get a bonus. Jin is the King of Iron Fist Tournament, and it's pretty easy to beat him. The final boss is Azazel, this huge luminescent Egyptian/dinosaur bone looking thing. He's fairly difficult but is beatable. Azazel fights like True Ogre a little and has some moves similar to the Hulk's Gamma Wave in Marvel vs Capcom. All in all, good times with Tekken 6!

Tatsunoku vs Capcom is visually stimulating, but I really disliked that it only has three buttons and a tag/assist button. Also, the character roster is weak compared to other "vs" games (unless there were some to be unlocked). I picked Batsu (from Rival Schools) and Megaman (from Megaman Legends). It's pretty fun, but I wasn't jumping for it. I dunno, maybe it's just because I sucked at it, but like three matches in I was still winning and I just left the game because I was hungry! That's how uninspired I was!

King of Fighters XII sucked horribly. It looked really good but they took A LOT of good moves away from my favorite characters. I already suck at SNK games, but I especially sucked at this one because of the lack of moves. Pass on this.

There was another cool looking game called Blaz Blue, but I didn't get to play it. Maybe I'll make my way back and check it out before I depart for Boise.

Gameworks here is awesome, I wish you could all be here to play the games! There are SO MANY rhythm games, like Puyo Puyo Fever, Guitar Freaks, Drum Mania, Taiko Drum Master, and etc. I lost count of how many DDR games they had here!

Here's some clips of Azazel and Nancy in action.

Luv(sic)

This must be the first version of this song because I've only heard versions 2-4! This is a pretty nice song though, and this video is interesting to say the least! The guy with the fish made me laugh!

Here's another awesome collaboration from Nujabes and Shing02!

Nooka ZAZ

Dang this watch is mega nice! Unfortunately it's $320, but I sure like that translucent display on the watch! Crazy!

Thank you!

Man, it seems like I've been writing a lot of these lately! I truly am thankful though, and that's why I write them.

It seems like we've had so many shows lately! We had another one last night at the Bad Irish opening for Oso Negro and celebrating the release of his new CD "Out the System". I still haven't had a chance to listen to it but I will be today. I just wanted to thank the few people that showed up last night, we had a great time and hope that you did too! It was cool to see old faces and meet a few new people! I think this will be our last show for awhile, at least until November, and I've been so thankful to have all the opportunities that we've had presented to us this past month!

It's been hectic, but I'm ready to go to Seattle now! Until next time!

Running Around Town

I just wanna let you all know, Matt and I uploaded our latest song featuring Eleven called "Running Around Town" on Myspace! We're trying to get it uploaded to Facebook, but we're having a few complications. When our next album is done, I'll upload the playlist onto this page and everywhere else as well.

Speaking of the album, it will be called "At the End of the Day" and will feature the usual slick rhymes from Matt and I and production by the dude Voytek from California! Matt and I are working on it and hope to have it out soon...very soon...

Until then, go check out the song by clicking on this picture and let me know what you think! Thank you for listening!

Thank you!

Hey world, I just wanted to send a big thank you to everyone at the Kidding Around event on Friday evening and a super big thank you to Noah and Eleven for allowing us to perform with them for a little bit! We met some more cool people and got to introduce our music to some more people so we're super thankful for that.

Also, I want to give some extra shout outs to DJ's Revolve, Flow, and Noah on their set at the Neurolux last night! That was super cool and they call meshed their turntable skills together very nicely. It didn't sound like a train wreck or anything, the music was great! It was great talking to Eleven and Timbuk2 (of Kamphire Collective) again too, and it was great to meet a couple more people that have heard our music before! I'm truly grateful.

Thank you again!

This is a very interesting read. Could it be? (click the picture to read the article)

KIROIC 2009 Fall/Winter Footwear Collection

KIROIC is a sneaker brand in China, so of course these will be hard to attain. Not sure how I feel about the high-tops (though I'd probably rock them anyway!) but I really dig their spin on lacing with some of the shoes. I'm really liking the turquoise ones too!

This Is It (Single)

It's becoming awesome to hear new Michael Jackson music. Here's the single for his new movie/documentary of the same title. Oct. 28 people! I'm gonna see it with Dani while I'm in Seattle but I'd be more than happy to see it more than once with anybody who hasn't seen it and has no one to go with! I already know it's gonna be awesome, plus I need to memorize all the dance moves anyway :P

Trippin' at the Disco

Man I didn't realize the new People Under the Stairs CD "Carried Away" was coming out tomorrow! That came out of nowhere! Anyways they just released this new video/single that is on the CD, "Trippin' at the Disco". This is awesome! I'll have to check out the CD tomorrow!

Smooth & Smoothie

New N.E.R.D.!

In case you didn't know, N.E.R.D. has added a fourth member, a girl by the name of Rhea. Now we all saw what happened to the Black Eyed Peas when they added Fergie, so hopefully that doesn't happen here. I've listened to some of Rhea's solo work before, and it's not bad. I won't judge anything until I hear it though, and so far, all the new stuff actually sounds awesome. Can't wait for N.E.R.D.'s new cd "Instant Gratification", coming out sometime next year (hopefully)!

THANK YOU!

Hello world!

This might be a lengthy post so bear with me...

First and foremost, I want to give a big thank you to EVERYONE that was at the Venue last night helping us make the night a fun one! I really enjoyed meeting all the new people I met! Stevie P was a super cool dude, hopefully we can keep in touch with him somehow. He performed some acoustic stuff last night which was awesome (I enjoy performing with hip hop acts, but I especially enjoy performing with non hip hop acts just because of the different experience). Two bands dropped out unfortunately, and Jeremy Snook took the stage as well. Didn't really get to meet the dude but whatever. B4G unfortunately took off kinda fast too, but it was cool to meet him. My sisters, my friends, everybody that watched us: thank you so much for helping us create a fun experience, and a HUGE thank you to those that come to our shows all the time and give us your endless support (you know who you are)!

It was so good to see a lot of old friends last night too, mainly Kyle, Aubrey, Dominic, Brandon and Francis! I had such a great time last night, but this morning was kinda rough when I went to work. Luckily my splitting headache split...lol get it?

Anyway, I have SO MUCH going on this month and I'm almost halfway. We got two shows out of the way, finished the wedding gig, and now I have one more show on Oct. 19 at the Bad Irish (possibly another too, but I won't list the date just so I don't jump the gun) and my first ever choreographed dance that will take place in Moscow on Oct. 25 as a tribute to the King of Pop! Not to mention the numerous quizzes in between, preparing for two big tests coming up in about two weeks, as well as work. My mind is gone most of the time right now, and I can't wait until Oct. 27 which is when I'll be heading to Seattle to visit my beautiful girlfriend! I miss her so much and I can't wait to just relax with her. I'm gonna spend time with her, we're gonna see the Sounds live, we're gonna see the new Michael Jackson movie "This Is It", we'll get food at Pagliacci's Pizza and a ton of sushi, celebrate Jon's birthday...SO many things!

Until then, I am trying my hardest to stay cool, and one of the things that does keep me cool is knowing that one or two of you out there are supporting me all the way in everything I do. I appreciate that so much and one day I hope to repay you all in some way or another. Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you have a wonderful night! I'll be back shortly with the cutest puppy of the week!

Man on the Move

Some new heat from TURBO! This won't be on the next installment of Electrorock, but you can download the track inside the YouTube link. I thought his version was MUCH better than Cudi's, but then again a lot of Turbo versions of popular songs are better than the originals anyway! Scramble up!
