Enemy of the State

SUPER late pass, sorry people I keep meaning to post these things but I just keep forgetting or I don't have time!

(btw there's a slight name change to the blog, thanks to everyone that caught that and realized that!)

Don't count Lupe Fiasco out as a wack rapper yet. He proves on this mixtape right here that despite a few eff ups here and there in his career, the dude can rap. Click the picture to download "Enemy of the State" where he spits flames over recognizable beats, sometimes making them better! "L.A.S.E.R.S." isn't coming soon enough!

Boudoir Synema: The Great Mistapes

I jump for joy whenever I hear J*Davey has new music. Well, they've given us a nice treat this past Christmas in "Boudoir Synema", a project containing five brand new tracks. Kinda short but super good. I am loving "Permission"! Click the picture to download some good music! Looking forward to J*Davey's full new project!

Leftovers Unmixedtape

LATE PASS. If you still haven't gotten Elzhi's Leftovers Unmixedtape, you are severely missing out on some excellence in lyricism. This is basically a collection of Elzhi's various appearances on compilation cds and stuff. It's also got an alternate version of "Glow" (from Jake One's "White Van Music") that I like a lot! Click the picture to download it if you wanna hear some GOOD hip hop!

Also, go BUY Slum Village's "Villa Manifesto EP" and keep on the lookout for their newest project as well as Elzhi's official new CD "The Feed"! Lots of good music coming!

UBIQ Fatima Polka Dot

Man I want these, especially in grey!

Nike Training 2010 Footwear

Not usually big into the trainers, but these are VERY nice. Pictured (in descending order) are the Lunar Kayoss, Trainer 1 Low, and the SC2010. I think I like these a lot because they all have features reminiscent of older styles. Gotta get these!

Cutest Puppy of the Week! (12.21.09-12.27.09)

OMG look at this guy! He just can't wait for those treats! I just wanna put him in my pockets!

Cutest Puppy of the Week! (12.14.09-12.20.09)

Sorry I've been slacking folks, life is just happening at such a rapid pace! I missed last week's puppy of the week, but here's one for this week! It's a cute little Maltese!

It's weird because I see so many old ladies come into Starbucks that look like this dog. The thing is, these dogs are cute, but the old Interesting huh?

Iron Man 2

This is looking REALLY good. War Machine ftw!

This song by Turbo came out awhile ago on Electrorock V.4 (which you need to get at or by following the link to his page on the right, as well as all his other albums) but only appeared as a snippet. Ladies and gentlemen, we are blessed by the FULL version with a music video even! Good stuff, Turbo is one of the best out there. Really sucks to see a guy with so much talent go unnoticed, but I trust one day his light will shine bright for the world to see! Scramble UP!

Wow @ the Roots assembling roughly 1,000 fillers since the conception of Late Night with Jimmy Failin! I'm sorry people, but that's the only reason I even watch the show, is to catch those gems the Roots drop before and after every commercial break. Luckily, ?uestlove released "sandwiches" (what he called the fillers) on his Twitter account (I dunno how I missed them) and somebody compiled them into this amazing EP. Click this sandwich to download it, it is VERRRRY good! The songs are only a minute or so long but they are dang good.

Going In

I feel sorry for you if you're still sleeping on J. Nolan. I call him the Triple H of unknown rappers, this dude has made so much free music that shouldn't be free, so free yourself of your everyday rap and listen to a BEAST! Do it J!

This song is on his latest project "Resilience" and you can find the link to download it in my archives or just go to!

Party Robot

Super late, sorry people I have too much stuff to do! Anyway here's the noteworthy mixtape of Talib Kweli, Res & Graph Nobel. Click it to download it!

Sorry this took me so long people, but as I promised, here's a link to that new CD Res put out for free! Download this, it's VERY good! My favorites are "By Myself", "For Who You Are" and "Angry". Good to see Res back at it! (Click the cover to start the download!) More good music on it's way, I just need to find the time to post them!

Still can't believe I slept on this. So good!

Finally, I am done with this fall semester! Haven't been posting much due to studying for finals and work and everything else in between, but now I'll be posting like a mad man since I'll have more time!

As far as music goes, I'm gonna work really hard to get some music out for the people that care. Two free projects (maybe three), one we'll start selling, as well as t-shirts and stuff. We'll also get to work on some videos...hopefully! I feel like I have all this time but I'm sure you all know how that just flies by before you even notice!

I am thoroughly excited because next week, my beautiful girlfriend will be back in town! I'll try to spend lots of time with her, and if she's reading this...I can't wait to see you and I miss you much! Already counting off the hours!

It seems like it's been awhile since we've had a show, but we will have a show in McCall alongside Eleven again (provided we have a ride up there)! The reason for this is because my little car just won't make it, and Matt can't risk a rematch against another elk. We will also be at Gusto's on New Year's Eve to help Eleven out with a song coming soon on his next album! Hope to see you guys at either show!

I'm very excited to be where I am right now and I look forward to your reactions when we start releasing this new music! THANK YOU!

There's No Way

Speaking of Idle Warship, Res has a new FREE CD out as well! It's called "Black.Girls.Rock!" and I'll post the link in a separate post as well, but until then, enjoy this video and song from the CD called "There's No Way". Good stuff!

A lot of people are bad-mouthing her new album but I think it's wonderful. I don't think people understood that she came onto the scene with a pop/rock sound, so everyone's upset that she isn't singing soul or something. DUMB. Let's just embrace all facets of her musical ability huh? You can't deny the goodness of Res' music!

I still think she's one of the prettiest girls I've seen! Yowzers!

Bedroom Lites

From Idle Warship's "Party Robot" mixtape. I don't think I ever posted a link for it so I'll do that in another post, I'm too lazy to do it right now! It's an alright collection of songs.

Oh man, the rest of the Thriller demos are beginning to leak! It's just interesting to hear how some of Michael Jackson's songs were before they become what they are now. Take "Starlight" for instance. Click this picture to listen to what "Thriller" could've been. As much as I dig "Starlight", I think Mike made a good decision switching around the lyrics for it.

You may have already heard the demos for "Billiejean" and "PYT" (which is a completely different song but dang good!) so I hope you're as stoked as I am to hear this one! Oh I've heard the "Beat It" demo too, which is basically the same as the CD version. If you hear anymore, let me know!

Tiger Woods Incident Re-enactment

Check out what the Chinese have been up to this past week.

lol x 100

Man they could easily come out with a video game about this! Watch the whole thing until the end, it gets good!

Phonte Tweets (Tiger Woods)

lol Phonte is at it again, this time speaking his mind on none other than Tiger Woods. Too funny, I had to repost this!

phontigallo: Seeing Tiger get caught up by a bitch from Tool Academy, is like hearing Bin Laden got captured by Inspector Clouseau.

phontigallo: Just heard the voicemails. Could Tiger have been ANY more self-incriminating?! Sheesh....

phontigallo: "Hi Jamie, this is three-time PGA champion Eldrick Tiger Woods wantin to speak to you about our fuckbuddy me back."

phontigallo: I agree with the boy @cthagod, no man can call Tiger dumb cause we've all done some stupid shit regarding women before.

phontigallo: I think part of the reason why we (men) get so caught up in celebrity affair stories is because we can relate to some degree.

phontigallo: And trust me ladies, EVERY man has been there. The only difference between Tiger and your nigga at home is about $500,000,000.

phontigallo: And for the record, Kwame Kilpatrick's texts >>>>>> Tiger's texts.

phontigallo: #textsfromTiger "FORE! (skin)"

Back of my Mind! This Japanese girl Manami won the Star Bape search awhile ago, which means she gets an album from the Neptunes. She's really lucky and already has some pretty nice tracks from Pharrell and Chad. Here's her newest song "Back of my Mind" with some recording footage over it. Pretty sweet song!

History (Live)

SWEET! Check out the Black Star reunion on Late Night with Jimmy Failin! They're backed by not just The Roots, but The Dirty Projectors as well! Awesome performance, but it really makes me sad that there STILL hasn't been another Black Star album! Dilla forever!

Soldier of Love

Make Me

Wow, please accept MY late pass! Just discovered this. Awesome song and awesome dancing! Janet Jackson is one of the best!

Hello everyone!

Hope you're all having a good week so far. Shouts to all the college students out there, hope you're enjoying your week off of school! As you all know, tomorrow is Thanksgiving and it's "a time to give thanks" let me tell you what I think of Thanksgiving.

First of all, happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. I'm super thankful for all my friends, family, opportunities, privileges, what I have, meeting people...EVERYTHING, I truly am. Especially regarding music, this year has been nothing short of a blessing.

At the same time though, I want to try to encourage everyone out there to be thankful not just this one time, but every day of your life. Always give thanks people, this life is too short and while you're here, you need to let the important people in your life know how much you appreciate them. So although it's good that Thanksgiving is here to remind us to be thankful, we must be thankful everyday. That's why I always post these "THANK YOU!" posts after my shows, you guys have no idea how much that means to me when people come out to see MCMD and I perform, and being thankful for the shows is only a tip of the iceberg. Once again, I am surrounded by the best friends in the world and I love my family, and that's really what I am most thankful for.

I hope you all have a good day off tomorrow, and don't kill each other on Black Friday. Don't forget that BlakRoc project headed by Dame Dash comes out at the Record Exchange that day! It's gonna be good! Until next time, take care of each other!

Dame Dash's camp is unleashing the fury! This is a pretty nice, chill song, you gotta check this out. This is a snippet of a song off of an upcoming project from the legendary Ski. This one features Mos Def and is called "Taxi" and is really simple but really good. This video, along with the other BlakRoc videos, are leading up to the launch of, which is founded by Dame Dash, Chike Ozah & Coodie Simmons. I don't know what to expect from it but I know it's gonna be good!

Cutest Puppy of the Week! (09.23.09-09.29.09)

Shouts to the Resident Genius for showing me this video!

Pay attention when the video gets to the :40 mark, I was flying off my seat! It's like two of the best things in one! This is way too funny, you gotta watch this. Pretty cool doggy!

Janet Jackson AMA Performance

Man...what better way to start off an award ceremony than with Janet Jackson?! The best thing was that she performed a bunch of old songs! I love her old songs! I mean her new ones are alright but man those old ones are untouchable! After being reminded of those songs, expect me to post lots of her music videos soon!

The American Music Awards opened up with Janet Jackson performing many of her number one hits as well as her newest single "Make Me" (which is super good and has some sweet choreography in it)! I can't stop watching this...I just wanna get up and dance! Janet Jackson is so awesome! I'm still so stoked that she performed "Control" and "Together Again"...those are two of my favorite songs by her! Enough talk though, just watch this performance, it's amazing!

Judgment Day

Oh man, talk about a flashback! I completely forgot about this song until today! This is good stuff right here! This came out around all that Y2K madness and the end of the world stuff haha! I see a common theme coming up with 2012...maybe I'll make a song about 2012? Whatever, just listen to the Method MAN!

Cutest Puppy of the Week! (09.16.09-09.22.09)

lol @ :31 that was like when Bruce Lee made his first attack on Han in the weapon room (in "Enter the Dragon")

All these animals are cute, not just the one puppy! This video is too funny!

No Man's Land

If you're still sleeping on B.o.B. aka Bobby Ray, you better wake up soon! This is one talented dude, and a serious emcee, don't underestimate him just because he sings. Here's his song "No Man's Land" which is featured on his "B.o.B. vs. Bobby Ray" mixtape. Check out the video and then click the picture to download the mixtape if you still don't have it!

This song is so good! This is Strange Fruit Project feat. Thesis with their newest song "Crash" which is featured on their new E.P. "M.A.S.K. (Making Art Sound Kool)". The EP just came out today and I just finished downloading so I can't wait to hear it! I bet it's pretty good though. This EP serves as a prelude to SFP's newest project coming out in the spring of 2010. Also featured on the EP are Supastition and Trae, as well as producers 9th Wonder, S1, Picnic, and Caleb! Watch the video and then click the album cover to download the EP!

Popular Demand & Doorman

Man, Clipse is GRINDING! Haha!

I'm really feelin' "Popular Demand", Pusha's flow is super nice on it! Lol @ Cam "DAAAAAMMNNNN" that was pretty silly.

"Doorman"'s ok. Chorus is kinda repetitive. Vicious song nonetheless. "'Til the Casket Drops" comes out on Dec. 8! Definitely supporting Clipse!

This is kinda late, but (word to Turbo) the scramble has been VICIOUS!

As some of you may know, we opened for Pigeon John & Josh Martinez this past Saturday at the Neurolux and it was an AWESOME show! MCMD and I had a blast and it was a pleasure to perform for everybody that was there. Pigeon John said I was like Pat Sajak on stage (which correlation I still don't quite understand) and said that he's never seen anyone emcee the way I did on stage. To even be acknowledged by him was so cool, I mean this is a guy who's worked with the Hieroglyphics and Pharcyde, not to mention an incredible musician himself. Pigeon John and Josh Martinez both throw a helluva show, so it was awesome to be a part of their crowd!

Big thanks to all our friends that showed up, you know who you are! Also a big shout out to all the new friends and fans that we met that night! It all means so much to us but I am especially thankful for everything that is going on for me musically and personally, THANK YOU so so much!

One more special thanks goes out to my mans Eleven for helping MCMD and I with "Running Around Town"! It's always a blast to perform with you! If you still haven't heard that song, go to our Myspace immediately and check it out, it's super good! ( We have some other things cooking too so stay tuned...

The school semester is nearing its end, and I can't wait for it because hopefully I'll be able to spend a lot more time on music. I apologize to everyone because I keep saying we have new stuff coming soon and stuff but sometimes it's just so difficult to get to what I want to do! Be patient though, we got some super good stuff coming! Thank you again for all your support and we look forward to giving you more good music!

Staple x Star Trek x Airwalk Terrain Collection

OMG I NEED these, if not all, at least one! Now the tough part; should I represent the Dept. of Engineering in red, the Command Crew in gold, or the Dept. of Sciences in blue? Sheesh...this will be one of the most difficult choices I'll ever make!

Luckily for me, these aren't expected to cost more than $50 (thank God) so I might just get crazy and get all three. Another lucky thing is they will be released in retail stores. I know where too, but I'm not gonna say because I can't have you walking around with the same shoes as me! YOU KNOW!

Good song! Raekwon, Xzibit & Murs hit us with a song from the "Ninja Assassin" soundtrack. Dang I didn't realize this movie was gonna be so graphic! Hope I don't get woozy when I see it...this song is pretty cool though!

lol 100x

Will Ferrell is so freaking funny, I swear, he doesn't even have to do anything, just looking at him makes you laugh huh! Oh man funny stuff!

I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman

Great song!

The girl at the end = ftw!

Can't wait until this releases in America next year! Consider it COPPED!

Some fun pictures by a fellow named Stefan!

lol @ the last one.

Big Head Mode Papercraft Costume

A little late, but check out this dude's Halloween costume! I'd say it's probably one of the best I've seen this year!

Eric Testroete is a 3D character artist from Vancouver. If you haven't noticed, this big head is inspired by big head modes in various video games!

Staying in Love

This is so good. I love this song and I love this video. Raphael Saadiq ftw once again! Don't sleep on this dude, he's got wonderful music!

Dope Man

I cannot explain to you how excited I am right now.

Okayplayer recently premiered this brand new track from Slum Village called "Dope Man" which will be featured on an EP releasing on Dec. 8. The EP will obviously serve as a prelude to the pushed-back "Villa Manifesto" and will indeed have Baatin on it.

I had NO IDEA this CD would feature the FULLY united group, which means Dilla will be on it as well! SO EXCITED!

Until then, you can click this picture to listen to the "Dope Man" song and start salivating. So good! "Villa Manifesto" will be out in 2010! Hopefully no more pushbacks!

World's Largest Lego Mario

Good God!

This awesome piece of Lego architecture was built by a guy named Dirk VH. He used 40,000 Lego bricks and the final piece measures 5'9 (lol Royce!) and weighs a little over 110 lb. It is currently being sold on Ebay for a charity auction. Sweet!
